Beliefs and Mission

WHAT WE BELIEVE

TRUE-WAY TRACTS (“TWT”) believes in all the fundamental doctrines of the evangelical Protestant church.

We believe that God is eternally existent in three separate persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God the Father is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things.

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His victorious death on the cross, was bodily resurrected by the power of the Holy Spirit, ascended back to the right hand of God the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.

After He ascended to heaven, Jesus poured out His Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.

We believe that all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness of sin are freely offered to all people by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting in Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God destined to spend eternity with the Lord.

We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible Word of God.

OUR MISSION

Our mission at TWT is to advance the kingdom of God through literature evangelism, and to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. By God’s grace, each year we produce and distribute thousands Gospel tracts and apologetics pamphlets—across America and internationally. (“Christian apologetics” is a branch of theology that deals with evangelism by defending Christianity against objections.)

Also contributing to our stated mission are the blogs written by author/apologist Marilyn Joy Tyner. The theme of her blogsite is: Promoting the Gospel. Defending the Faith. Helping Spiritual “POWs” Advance to the Cross. You can review her blogs or register to receive them at PowApologetics.com.

Availability

All TWT tracts, briefs, and books are available in the shopping cart on our Home Page. Many are also distributed through the Veritas International University bookstore (https://viu.ves.edu/resource-categories/), The Chapel Store, Calvary Distribution, The Blue Letter Bible, Maranatha Bookstore, and Amazon. See Marilyn Joy Tyner’s Amazon Author Page at www.amazon.com/author/marilyn-joy-tyner.

Tracts and Briefs:

TWT “gospel tracts” present God’s unfailing love, the biblical Jesus Christ, His sacrificial death on the cross to purchase our salvation, and His resurrection from the dead on the third day. Each tract ends with a suggested salvation prayer to give readers an opportunity to receive the Savior of the world and live eternally (see John 3:16; 14:6).

TWT “apologetics briefs” answer various questions—posed by searchers and skeptics—regarding the truth of Christianity. Each brief presents a clear and logical defense of the Christian faith based on thorough research and compelling evidence (both external and internal).

Importance of Apologetics:

In our postmodern relativistic world, Christians are called to explain who the living God is, and why Biblical Christianity prevails over all forms of religion and spirituality. When we do so, more beloved unbelievers can then advance to the cross and receive Jesus Christ, and His free gift of everlasting life.

In the difficult times in which we live, Christians are also called to share our hope—the blessed assurance we have in Jesus Christ. For in Him alone, people can discover lasting peace and living hope.

“Sanctify [set apart] the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense [apologia in Greek] to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with gentleness and respect” (1 Pet. 3:15).

“Contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
