YOU’RE INVITED TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST
The Glorious Gospel
The gospel of grace is stated in the Bible in 1 Cor. 15:3-4: “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” Jesus was the God-man who came to earth to reconcile man to God. “Nor is there salvation in any other (no one else), for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
God’s Plan of Salvation
1. THE MARVELOUS FACT: God loves you personally. Did you know that God loves you personally and unconditionally, and that He wants you to receive the gift of eternal life and join the family of God? “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). (See also 2 Peter 3:9.)
2. THE PROBLEM: Because Adam and Eve originally sinned, every person inherited a sin nature and is born separated from holy God. Did you know that everyone is in need of a Savior because we are all heading for eternal destruction and need to be reconciled to our holy God? “For all (people) have sinned and fall short of the glory (perfection) of God” (Rom. 3:23). (See also Rom. 5:12; 2 Cor. 5:21.)
3. THE SOLUTION: Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, died on the cross willingly to bear the guilt and penalty for our sins. Did you know that Jesus, as the sacrificial Lamb, endured the cross in order to conquer sin and death and offer us eternal life? “For the wages (result) of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 6:23). (See also John 1:29; Heb. 2:14.)
4. THE RESPONSE: If you ask Jesus Christ to be your personal Lord and Savior, you will receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life in heaven. Did you know that at the very moment you place your trust in Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation, you become spiritually regenerated or born again (Titus 3:5) and you begin a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus? “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom. 10:9). (See also John 3:3, 5; Rom. 8:11.)
A Salvation Prayer
“Dear Father, thank You for Your immeasurable love and for sending Your Son to redeem us. Lord Jesus, I know that You love me because You died on the cross bearing my sins. Thank You for showing me my lost, sinful condition. Please forgive me for my sins. By faith, I now accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for the free gift of eternal salvation. I want to have a personal relationship with You now and forever. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
Growing in Christ
God has a fulfilling plan for your individual life (Eph. 2:10). In your walk with the Lord, it is thrilling and important to develop your prayerlife. As you pray, your spirit connects with God’s Holy Spirit, who now dwells within you (Rom. 8:11). Be sure to read your Bible daily, and ask the Lord to reveal His truth to you. Also, join a Bible-teaching, Christ-centered church. Then you will “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 2:18). A great place to begin reading your Bible is in the book of John. It clearly presents Jesus as the divine Son of God, and it records Jesus’ love for us, His miracles, His life, death, and resurrection.
May our Lord richly bless you as you walk step by step with Him!
