An Invitation

YOU’RE INVITED TO RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST

The Glorious Gospel

The gospel of grace is presented in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4: Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Who is the biblical Jesus Christ? He is the divine Son of God (the God-man) who came to earth to reconcile man to God. Nor is there salvation in any other [no one else], for there is no other name under heaven [except Jesus] given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

God’s Plan of Salvation

1. THE MARVELOUS FACT: Did you know that God loves you personally and unconditionally, and that He wants you to receive the gift of eternal life and join the family of God? “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). (See also 2 Peter 3:9.)

2. THE PROBLEM: Because our first ancestors sinned (Adam and Eve), every person inherited a sin nature and is born separated from holy God. Did you know that everyone is in need of a Savior because we are all heading for eternal destruction and need to be reconciled to our holy God? For all [people] have sinned and fall short of the glory [perfection] of God (Rom. 3:23). (See also Rom. 5:12; 2 Cor. 5:21.)

3. THE SOLUTION: Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, willingly died on the cross to bear the guilt and penalty for our sins. Did you know that Jesus, as the sacrificial Lamb, endured the cross in to conquer sin and death for everyone and thereby offer us eternal life? For the wages (result) of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom. 6:23). (See also John 1:29; Heb. 2:14.)

4. THE RESPONSE: If you say a heartfelt prayer, asking Jesus Christ to be your personal Lord and Savior, you will receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life in heaven. You will be a “new creation in Christ” (2 Cor. 5:17) and will enjoy a personal relationship with God, through Jesus. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom. 10:9). (See also John 3:3, 5; Rom. 8:11.)

A Suggested Salvation Prayer

“Dear God, thank You for Your immeasurable love and for sending Your Son to redeem me. Lord Jesus, I know that You love me because You died on the cross bearing my sins. Thank You for showing me my lost, sinful condition, and please forgive me of my sins. By faith, I now accept You, Jesus, as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for the free gift of eternal salvation. God, I want to have a personal relationship with You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”

Growing in Christ

After you surrender your life to Jesus Christ, know that God has a unique and fulfilling plan for you (Eph. 2:10). As you walk with the Lord, it is thrilling and important to develop your prayer life and to join a Bible-believing church. Be sure to read your Bible regularly, each time asking the Lord to reveal His truth to you. A great place to begin reading is in the book of John, which clearly presents Jesus as the divine Son of God.

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 2:18).

May our Lord richly bless you as you walk step by step with Him!
